Refund policy
If a resource is not right for you, say so and I will refund it.
The short version
Buy a resource, look at it properly, and if it is not what you needed, email me within 30 days and I will refund it. You do not have to justify it and you will not get a form to fill in.
You keep whatever rights the Australian Consumer Law gives you on top of this. Nothing on this page reduces them.
If you change your mind
Digital downloads do not come with an automatic legal right to change your mind, because you cannot hand the file back. Plenty of sellers use that as a reason to refuse refunds entirely. I would rather not.
So, as a goodwill policy: email support@termtalk.com.au within 30 days of buying and I will refund you. No reason needed. When a refund is issued the licence ends, so please delete your copy.
This part is a promise from me rather than a legal obligation, which means I could change it for future sales. The section below is different, and I could not change that even if I wanted to.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Term Talk resources come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing on this page, on a product page or in the licence terms limits them.
Those guarantees mean a resource must be of acceptable quality, must match how it was described on the product page, and must be fit for the purpose it was sold for.
- If there is a major problem you choose the outcome: a refund, or a replacement. You may also seek compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss.
- If there is a minor problem that can be put right, I may fix it instead of refunding, and I will do that within a reasonable time.
A major problem is something like a resource that is substantially different from its description, or one that is unusable for the purpose it was clearly sold for.
If the download itself goes wrong
This is usually not a refund situation, it is just something to fix, and it is quicker for both of us if you tell me.
- Link expired before you saved the file. Email me and I will send a fresh one. There is no charge and no time limit on this.
- The file will not open, or arrived damaged. Email me and I will send a working copy.
- You received the wrong resource. Email me and I will send the right one, or refund you, whichever you prefer.
- Nothing arrived at all. Check your junk folder first, since school email filters are enthusiastic. If it is not there, email me.
If you bought the same thing twice
It happens, usually when a payment page is refreshed. Email me and I will refund the duplicate. You do not need to have noticed quickly.
How to ask
Email support@termtalk.com.au from the address you bought with, if you can, since that makes finding your order immediate. Tell me which resource and roughly when. That is all I need.
I aim to reply within two business days. Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with, and usually land within five to ten business days depending on your bank. I cannot refund to a different card, because Stripe will not let me.
Receipts and GST
All prices shown in the store include GST. Your emailed receipt is a valid tax invoice from Term Talk Pty Ltd, ABN 89 697 989 003. If your school needs it reissued in a different name for reimbursement, email me and I will sort it out.
Memberships are separate
This page covers one off resource purchases from the store. Term Talk Hub memberships have their own arrangement, described on the pricing section of the home page, and you can cancel a membership at any time.
If you are not happy with the outcome
Tell me first, because most things are a misunderstanding and I would rather fix it directly. If we cannot resolve it, you can contact the ACCC or the consumer protection agency in your state or territory. I would much rather it never came to that.
